In this quiz, you have to name the leading wicket-takers in men’s ODIs in 2023.

The last 12 months have been a busy one for men’s ODIs, with the World Cup rounding out the year in India. 29 players took more than 25 wickets in ODIs over the last 12 months, and while Australia may be World Champions, none of their bowlers make the top five.

Six bowlers managed to take 40 or more wickets in 2023, two spinners and four pace bowlers. Three of the top six are India players, including the top two. Only two players from Australia make the list, with South Africa, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh also with two entries. Sri Lanka have four players with 25 or more wickets while Nepal have five. The Netherlands, England, New Zealand and Ireland each have one player who made it onto the list.
